The overall poverty rate in NYC is around 27%. That affects nearly 2.2 million resident New Yorkers with about 450,000 being kids. Growing up in poverty stunts growth in children physically, academically and psychologically. The Bing Bong Foundation 501(c)(3) is driven to ensure that the poverty rate have a meniscal affect on children that are living in poverty to give them a more fair opportunity as a child outside of the poverty rate. We drive to ensure that children can have a proper meal and another career path that they can pursue.
Feeding NYC is a project that is to launch January 2027 where we would prepare multiple meal packages for families in need. This project is going to fight food insecurities for families struggling to find their next meal.
The Bing Bong Scholastic Esports (BBSE) is a pilot league that will introduce STEM driven paths into schools. Projected to pilot in the Fall of 2026, BBSE is going to have different tiers of programs with different structured that is tailored specifically for elementary, intermediate, or high school that they can use to carry on long into adulthood and college.
